White Shores in Rome

White Shores in Rome

Tweet Who doesn’t love Rome? OK, aside from Carthage, who doesn’t love Rome? It’s a magnificent city filled with history and ruins and guys pretending to be gladiators. Personally I love Italy, and Rome is a blast. When I swung through the city to whom all roads led, I found a number of people enjoying White Shores. And I must say, what better place to read it than surrounded by the fantasies provided by history itself? I mean, aside from Paris of course. If you’re looking for less photos and more cartoons (and more laughs) check out my post on ten reasons to hate moths. There are plenty more to be sure, but this should cover it well enough for you. And if you want to get your hands on your own copy of White Shores, now is your...

White Shores – Amsterdam

White Shores – Amsterdam

Tweet I knew that I said I would do Rome next, but in the end I wanted to save it. In the spirit of my black lying soul, why not go with Amsterdam instead? I got to go spend a couple of days in Holland and meet my illustrator, Marjolein. It was amazing. I’ll talk more about that later. For now, you can enjoy some photos of people reading White Shores around Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Next I’ll do either Rome or Geneva… not sure which yet. If you’d like to see more photos, check out White Shores in Paris, or Tuscany. Of course, if you would like your copy of White Shores you can get it on any of Amazon’s websites for Kindle or in paperback, as well as from B&N for your nook and any other e-readers on...

White Shores in Tuscany

White Shores in Tuscany

Tweet So I just got back from Amsterdam, which has NOTHING to do with Tuscany but still, is noteworthy. Why? Because I got to meet Marjolein Caljouw and talk about the cover for the next installment of The Vitalis Chronicles. But you’ll have to wait for the photos that came of it. Suffice it to say that I’m super excited for the future, and simply had a great time hanging out and having lunch over a really long, really exciting conversation. Excited. I’ve said it enough times now. BACK TO TUSCANY. I got to spend four or five days in Florence with some friends and in the process took some great shots of people reading White Shores there and in San Gimignano.   I swear he broke his arm before I met him. If you haven’t already, check out...

White Shores in Paris

Tweet So today I finished writing the second book in the Vitalis Chronicles: Tomb of the Relequim. It’s a good feeling to get done with the first draft – though there are still a few months of work to get through before it’s ready to roll. Here’s where I finished writing it: la Bibliotheque de Saint Geneviève (Saint Geneviève’s Library for the non-French speaking among us, thanks Raph) I had to register and get a library card and everything. It has my photo on it. The thing is, I may have slightly misunderstood a field or two on the application. I think I somehow managed to get a priority access card as some sort of professor/author combination. Whoops? I’ve been struggling to figure out where to start with “Operation...

Operation Fabrication

Tweet So in traveling around Europe for the past few weeks I’ve discovered a number of people reading my book. They happen to be reading it in some of the more iconic locations, which makes documenting my discoveries that much more entertaining. I’ll post the photos en masse when I have access to my ‘real’ computer and am done with my vacation, but I thought you might like to see at least a few before then. (Just so you know, I’m saving my favorite one for last) These are some people I found reading White Shores in front of the UN in Geneva. And this isn’t even all of them! I’ve found even more people reading White Shores all over. In Nice, Geneva, Florence and San Gimignano. I’m hoping to find some in Rome,...

Fans of White Shores

Tweet They exist! A lot of people have been sending me photos of their copies of White Shores and I thought I’d share them with you all. If you’ve got your copy and want to send me a photo feel free to do so at [email protected] and I’ll get it up on the site right away (assuming it’s not totally inappropriate). There are more photos to come, but I’ve gotta dig them up first. If you’ve got a photo of yourself with your copy of White Shores, feel free to send them to me so I can post them! [email protected] Of course, by sending them you release them to me to post on here – obvious, but just in case there were any question. And of course, if you want to get your own copy of White Shores you can order...
