It is finished

It is finished

The cover art that is. It’s been finished for a while in fact, but I still haven’t settled on a font for the text so I’m going to wait just a bit longer before I post it. The thumbnail can act as a tease.

We’ve also finished editing the first 10 chapters of White Shores, which means I’ll be releasing them as a preview here soon; hopefully in the next couple of days. That raises the question: how much should a preview give? Personally I hate the previews on Amazon that are comprised almost entirely of the copyright and table of contents. I also wonder why they only give you something like 15% of the book to read.

If it’s good, and something the person will read, I imagine that you could give them 80% and they’d still buy it. Who’s going to read the majority of a book only to say: “well I’m not finishing it if I have to PAY for it.”

I think I’ll give you the first 10 chapters as a preview. How does that sound? How many chapters are too many or too few?
